This survey lists only male heads of household born by 1820 in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. Possibly missing, however, are older male Cooleys, such as fathers, uncles or brothers, who are not listed as the head of household. I hope to remedy that.
The list can be sorted by first name, age, birth place of state of residence. The notes are mine and are based on my own interpretations of this and other data. Any additions or corrections will be welcomed. Additional information about some of these people can be found at The Cooley Patrlineages.

Michael Cooley's Genealogy Pages 1. The father may have been "of North Carolina". Source: "The History of Crawford County Illinois", p636. A descendant is a genetic match to the Stokes County NC Cooleys.
2. Jonathan Cooley of La Salle was born c 1808 in PA. He named a son Amasa L, 1840. One would think, then, that the Amasa L born in PA c1787 was the patriarch. " History of Northville Township, LaSalle County, Illinois" says Jonathan Cooley came in 1835.
3. son of Cooley Jabez and Abigail Hancock. Asahel died 1828 in Athens county OH.
4. Died 1808 Hamilton County, OH. His will names sons Ebenezer, Thaddeus, and William; daughters daughters, Margaret Brinton, Martha Davis, and Hannah Walden; grandsons John Brinton, James Brinton, Thomas Brinton and Samuel Brinton.

7. Hosea was s/o Clark and Sabra Rose (Bancroft), m Statira Roberts, and was of the Benjamin Cooley line.

12. Some researchers suggest that George was William's grandson but I doubt that any of William's sons were of sufficient age to have had children born c1798.
